IIAM Membership
IIAM offers memberships to corporate houses, business groups, law firms, professional organizations, professionals and individuals. Members shall have one vote at the General Meeting of the Institute and for election of members to the Governing Council.

Member shall mean and include any person who is not a minor or any organization, institution, corporate or association and who is accepted by the Governing Council as a Member and who pays a one-time membership fee of INR 35,000/- to the corps of the Institute or who pays a registration fee of INR 7500/- and a yearly renewal fee of INR 5000/-.
Corporate Member shall mean and include distinguished persons, organizations, institutions or corporates who are recognized and accepted by the Governing Council as a Corporate Member and who pays a one-time membership fee of INR 1,00,000/- to the corps of the Institute, or who pays a registration fee of INR 20,000/- and a yearly renewal fee of INR 15,000/-. Benefits and concessions can be availed by 3 representatives of the Corporate member.
Ex-officio Member shall mean and include present or retired Judges of the High Court or Supreme Court, Bureaucrats, Professors of Law with a teaching experience of 15 years in a Law College or University or Research Institute, Judicial Officers with 15 years’ experience in State Judicial Services and who pays a sum of INR 15,000/- to the corps of the Institute.
Reciprocal Member shall mean and include reputed organizations or institutions, including, but not limited to Chambers of Commerce, Trade organizations, Bar Associations, Professional Associations, which offer membership to IIAM on reciprocal arrangement accepting Membership of IIAM. The membership shall be valid till the reciprocal arrangement continues.
Charter Member shall mean and include founder members who took active part in promoting and establishing the Institute.
The application for membership shall be made in writing together with the applicable membership fees and deposited with the Governing Council who shall at their absolute discretion decide whether such applicant is to be given membership in the applied category. If any such application is rejected the application money shall be refunded within a period of 30 days of such refusal without any interest. The IIAM Member on requirement of utilization of IIAM services, shall utilize the same in accordance with the IIAM Arbitration / Mediation Rules in force. The IIAM member agrees that they are willing to refer their dispute with any of the other IIAM member(s) for IIAM ADR.
The IIAM member agrees that they will not try to influence the IIAM arbitrators / mediators or the IIAM staff to secure their personal gain.
Annual IIAM memberships shall lapse on non-renewal of membership fees.
All members shall have one vote at the General Meeting of the Institute and for election of members to the Council.
Expert Committees and Users Committees will be formed from among the members for enhancing the quality and professionalism of ADR and for giving advice and opinions to the Governing Council.
Members will be eligible for special concessions or priorities to attend seminars conferences etc. organized by IIAM. Corporate Members can avail the special concessions and priorities for three (3) of their nominated representatives.
Members are entitled to special rates for participation in training programs, seminars, workshops on ADR organized by IIAM and other associate international institutions. Corporate Members can avail the special concessions and priorities for three (3) of their nominated representatives.
Members are eligible for special discounted rates for IIAM Arbitration and Mediation services.
IIAM Charter, Corporate or Life Member is eligible to start an IIAM Centre in a particular territory, as per the approval of the Governing Council.
IIAM brings you the latest legal position and news regarding ADR by its newsmagazines / periodicals.
Member will be given a badge source code titled “Member of the Indian Institute of Arbitration & Mediation” to be placed in their web site.
